SURF

Although Playa El Coco is not listed as surfing mecca, it is a place where you can get your fair share of surfing and its also great for beginners and intermediate surfers.

THE WAVES

 

Playa El Coco has a rock out cropping that when the swell comes from the right direction, produces shoulder to overhead high peelers all the way to shore. With its sandy bottom and off shore winds it also is a great beach to learn how to surf.

 

EQUIPMENT

​

The house has both a varied collection of surf boards and body boards for rent. Cost for surfboards $20.00 per day; Body boards $10.00 per day.

LESSONS

​

A 2 hour lesson will teach the basics of paddling, wave selection,  taking off, and  surf etiquette.  With some hard work  hopefully get you standing up by the end of the lesson.  $25.00 per person
